Avoid Riot, Milla Ask Indonesian Team Players Keep Emotions

Senior Indonesian national team coach Luis Milla asked his players to control their emotions in a trial match against Cambodia at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium on Wednesday evening (4/10/2017). Milla does not want unrest between U-22 national team and Cambodia team at SEA Games 2017 in Malaysia, again repeated.

“The senior national team player should be an example and role model for other national teams, I hope the players can control their emotions to avoid incidents when facing Cambodia,” said Luis Milla.

“My job as a coach is to look at and select players from the competition in Indonesia and for my long term projections we collect their data,” he said.

Milla said soccer in Indonesia has been improving since he became Indonesia national team coach in February 2017. “Eight months have started to look soccer improvements in Asia, especially in Indonesia, I will help my team so strongly that Indonesia senior and U-22 can show the development and good quality, “he said.

Coach who is also the former Barcelona and Real Madrid football club was also implementing the standard recruitment of Indonesian and U-22 national team players.

“So, all of those players’ choices are my responsibility and I’m very happy because I can put together the best players in Indonesia from the competition here to test with Cambodia,” Milla said.

Meanwhile, PSSI will cooperate with the Indonesian National Police (Polri) for the security of two friendly matches that will be held at the Patriot Stadium, Bekasi.

The plan, about 2,380 personnel who come from a combination of elements of Police and internal security PSSI will be involved for security.

As is known, the first match will feature the U-19 national team against Cambodia U19 national team on Wednesday (05/10/2017) at 18:30 pm. After this match is over, the second match brings together Indonesia’s senior national team against Cambodia. This match starts at 21:30 pm.
